#Prose&Poesy . Freedom of S Peach.
Mister Sweet Peach is a sweet man
He wakes up every morning
as the sun hits his branch.
Mister Peach is a sensitive sir
he bruises so easily,
he has to always carry a fur.
Nonetheless Mister Peach wants adventure
He wants to jump off this crooked tree
and land on some cheese and fruit trencher.
It might seem easier to stay up there
But it is so boring, so lonely
he doesn’t think it’s very fair.
He sees all the fruits tan, and hears the chatter
All looking so tasty and yummy in that wooden platter.
All the flowers, delicate, pink
and scared tell him not to be crazy
to remain safe and think
about the dangers of this frenzy.
Mister Peach knows that his choice
is rebellious
But at least it’s his true voice
that sounds so delirious.
So at the end of the day,
It won’t matter what you say
Mister S. Peach will be free
and jump off the crooked tree.

#Advertising. #TruthsOfLife 5 : Good is never Enough
Make no mistake, I am not saying this advert is not good enough. Or actually, make all the mistakes you want, because i’m talking about the Tippexperience, the Tippex viral Commercial.
Some of you might be the sort of people - I say this trying to not consider you crazy people but still slightly doing so - that turn off the volume when spots on TV appear. And to be honest, nowadays, it’s fair enough.
It’s a shame to see how publicity, where it has the resources to create beautiful commercials, lacks ideas, and where ideas flourish like spring, there is no flow of “water” to make the production affordable, so no flowers ever blossom.
I am a bit of a traveler and I love watching TV from other countries, and I realise it’s extremely different from one country to another, which in a way makes me like it even more. But unfortunately the crisis doesn’t really allow us to travel around the globe just to watch TV, in such a way that when I do travel I stay in a cheap hostel or don’t waste any minute because I has to work for that holiday and I will not waste a cent.
But as they say in my language : “No hay mal que por bien no venga” - There is no BAD that doesn’t bring a GOOD side, or something like that. And I believe in a way, crisis has brough us all together, to think globally, to act in unison and to enjoy small pleasures and share these like a close tie family.
And advertisement, to my opinion is one of these pleasures we are know more accustomed to sharing on social media, to find on youtube and play it as many times as you want.
So for those that want to believe me, and capture the essence of good advertising in a simple, interactive, viral campaign I recommend the TIPPEX ADVERT.
It’s now a bit old, or not that much in actual years, but in internet years, it has been an eternity since the first one came out. However, I chose to write about it because the second part of it came out not long ago, and this makes it so much better.
The idea is that the product serves it purpose on internet. It truly makes us understand the concept of new media and adaptation to this one, who would have thought Tippex, used to correct mistakes would be adaptable to the technological world where a click solves the problem and a key is designed TO surpass the tippex concept.
Well they made it, they made a campaign that makes you curious. They make you a part of it, you type, they do. You feel in an improvisation class, you can go crazy, and sit down on your computer to watch the result and laugh about it.
I haven’t had time to experiment much with this second one, but I certainly had a blast with the first one.
They offer you the possibility to change advertisement, to make you feel like you thought of it, and still honor their creativity and obsolete product.
I think this resumes advertising today, or maybe advertising of tomorrow, because we are still struggling. It has that interactive cool feel, that smart turn around, that visual impact, that funny story, that crazy creativity and a follow up, to make sure you never make the mistake of forgetting about it.

#TruthsOfLife 4 - Going backwards isn’t always the opposite of going forwards

We tend to say weshall never look back, leave the past in the past and walk ahead to your future.
Our mentality is linear, it’s extremist, it’s cartesian. Some cultures believe in a continuous circle of life, a rounded image to represent existence. We represent it with lines. Our measuring systems are basic, under the pretext of being understandable. We struggle to change our path. And this is all a shame, because what comes to my mind when talking about a long straight line is that it will eventually become a dead end.
It’s like we choose to ignore our world and the way it functions. Trees and plants are not linear, they don’t follow a timeline, they grow, blossom, flower, change leaves, survive the winter and start again. The days are not linear. They follow a standard but in the bigger picture the sun rises to it’s highest point, and goes back down leaving us for a short amount of time, only to come back a few hours later and rise again into our lives.
What got me thinking about this is the fact that I’ve spent my easter holidays coloring, and doing arts and crafts. I color plans for my university, which are obviously much more complex than colouring books of minnie mouse, but at the end of the day, I was colouring, as if I was 5 and did not know anything about the world outside. Those that still enjoy the secret pleasures of childhood know that, even today, colouring and arts and crafts makes the outside world take a step backwards, leaving you alone with your dirty colorful fingers and so much time in the world, 24 hours wouldn’t fit in a day.
I enjoy being childish, when I can. Taking me back to the careless hours and the beautiful surprises life had for you. I don’t consider myself naive for this, I don’t consider myself in denial either. I know I am growing and that life lies ahead of me, waiting for new experiences that never before have I lived. But I won’t let my life by linear, it’s curved, it has loops, it has turns and roller coaster moments.
Don’t fall into the standards, if you need to go back, to retrace your steps to find something you forgot along the way, you are allowed, we do it all the time. Because humans are not always able to grasp things at the first go, so you might need one more round, you might need two, you might need to get stuck for a while, but evertually the loops will become paths that take you to the future and lines will be parallels of your life, references, but never are they to be the path you take.
Rigidity is not a quality, straightforwardness is often misunderstood, lines are tension makers, dividers, barriers, frontiers, limits, dead ends; and life is not about that, life is about being lived to the fullest, and take as make paths as you can along the way.
#Art . A world full of artists
You may not follow my blog, you may follow and never read it, but I surely follow the creations of the people that surround me. Specially those whose art and essence make an impact on me, my most artistic friends, the ones I believe, in an ideal world should be known by everyone; not because I wish them fame, because I wish the world to feel what I feel when I see, listen to, or presence their work.
I have traveled enough to leave behind people and I have always meant for this to be solely geographical, but I realise distance and time become enemies of friendships that could have been.
But I wish for my friends to know that I carry a bit of them within me, their smile, their art, their words and their passion; and now I’ve decided to let everybody know.
I’m going to start a series of articles that really represent me but honour my friends. Because I am a big believer of the philosophy that you are who you are because of people that surround you. The series will be called “The people I know”(/La gente que conozco) and it will be true to both mine and their style…
I really hope to capture them as they are and let you be captivated by their work though my words.
#Interview. Bulkka magazine. Sagaki Keita
I really enjoyed making this interview, very talented artist :) inspiring as can be…
Truths of life # 3. If you don’t plant the seed, it will never grow.
Sometimes we are told that things will come, or time will tell, and that you might miss something if you are looking too hard for it. Expressions and impressions, all the things people can tell us about time healing all wounds, about going with the flow, sometimes make no sense.
Nature is our greatest pleasure, it’s the greatest achievements there has been and that we can admire and learn from. And nature has a way of making things happen, when there’s a seed, there could be a bulb and a flower and then a fruit. If there is no seed, and no way for it to get to the ground, to be caressed by the sun and be hugged by the water, nothing will grow.
So today I planted a daffodil. I wanted just one flower and picked it from the ground, only to be gifted with the roots and the seed beneath what we can see.
Speaking in metaphors I was given more that I thought I wanted, and I decided to make the most of it. You know what they say: If life gives you lemons, make lemonade… Then again, what I say, is that “THEY”, whoever they are, are wrong about things just happening, you got to give it your best shot every time, every day. You have to be gentle with every word, you have to take care of the soil, and maybe, maybe one day, if you really want it and try hard enough, you might get a field of flowers to rest on.
Until then, just plant seeds wherever you can…
#Prose&Poesy .

Truths of Life #2. Talent is just a word
I dedicate this post to all the people out there, specially my friends that, like me, feel an equal amount of hate and love towards what they do, because passion, we all know, hurts some times.
A few days ago I came back home from university feeling a bit down because, once upon a time, a bit under a year ago, I decided that one degree wasn’t enough so I restarted a new one from scratch, and sometimes I feel like I’m not great at it. This is mainly due to the fact my teacher is completely unaware of how to teach and motivate people and tells me I am not capable of doing this, just because he doesn’t truly understand between the difference betwwen beeing good at something and capable of it.
And although I play tough cookie and let my professor know I won’t let anyone tell me I’m not capable of doing what I love, I do let him make me feel like I actually can’t. Why? Because there’s one thing that we all fear when we are doing a creative job… this is the closest thing to the figure of a God, we live by it and hope for it, but fear it and can create wars just to achieve it. I am talking about TALENT.
According to some dictionary, talent is…
1. A marked innate ability, as for artistic accomplishment
2. Natural endowment or ability of a superior quality
The truth is, talent is just a word… we fear it because we always want to be better because we compare ourselves to the best of the best. Creativity is an innate thing, so we believe we could, actually make something amazing on our first try, only if, we are talented. But we should not compare ourselves as designers to the advertisements on magazines, to the clothes on the runways, to the designers of the furniture i am sitting on… we should only compare ourselves to ourselves, and make sure we will ALWAYS be better than we have ever been, and never stop trying.
Because Talent exists, and you have it, talent is that thing you were born with: that dense mixture of incredible taste, clever eye, and creative thinking. That is our talent, and our only duty is to embrace it, for better and for worse, and that includes that horrible, stomach-eating feeling that what you do is not perfect enough…
Remember always people like us are always trying to be ahead of our time, and we are, which means we are getting ahead of ourselves, and whilst we are trying to perfect and embellish one piece of work, we are already thinking of how it could be better , before its even finished, not letting us realise how amazing it is what we created.
But enough talk… I think you, designers, creators, creatives, producers of masterpieces, understand better the language of creativity, so these images will talk for themselves.

Go out and create, have no fear of talent, embrace it, have no fear of creativity, it already lives within you and have no fear of perfection, salvador dali is right.
